Hesse – the globetrotter

A globetrotter is a habitual worldwide traveller and this is was what writer Hermann Hesse did in his life. Considering the time he lived in (1822 – 1962) this was much more difficult than today. For example: back then travelling by plane was not very popular and also very expensive, so people often times took the train or the boat, which first af all was also not very cheap and also took a long time.
